Over the river and thru the wood

Over the river and thru the wood,
To grandfather's house we go;

Well, it really wasn’t “over the river” because we gathered from and on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River. And it was at “grandmother’s house”—my mother’s house—rather than “grandfather’s house” for an early Christmas celebration:

The Grandmother’s House

Welcoming Committee: #2 Son Rob’s Canine Friend, Rex

The Grandmother Herself

Sometimes Saintly Nick Himself

Left to Right: #1 Son, Nick III; Nick’s son, Lee; Nick’s significant other, Sibyl; Sometimes Saintly Nick’s sister, Deb

#2 Son, Rob, restraining Rex as Sometimes Saintly Nick opens gift

BLURRED! (Did you ever try to take a photo of 3 little girls and a dog?) Left to Right, granddaughters Savannah; Kayla; Brandy

An Almost Non-Blurred photo of Brandy

  1. Nick,

    Really enjoyed this one. Printed it so I would be able to show it to Betsy. (She never gets on the computer)

    We hadn't seen the kids for so very long, had forgotten what they looked like.

    Thanks gobs...............Uncle John

  5. See what a great family you have to live for? I think you look fine. Lose a few pounds and search committees all over the US will want you to be their interim. Really, I think it is as simple as that. Life doesn't have to be so complicated. Yes, I know you have had a lot to deal with.
