I'm pretty sure the love in returned. Well, except when you try to "starve" him to death and he is forced to chew holes in the breathing tube. Other than that ........
Lynilu: Yep, I think it is mutual love. And I have learned my lesson: I shall not again allow us to run out of cat treats! As for "computer time," whenever Alex plops himsef on my desk between the computer and me, I agree it becomes "adore Alex" time.
Liz: Yes, Alex is much more than a companion to me. Even when I complain about him, I do so with a twinkle in my eyes and (usually) a smile on my face, except perhaps when the complaint erupts because the furball has his claws in my leg.
Squirl: Yep, it is unconditional love. The animals who have been my companions through the years taught me to love unconditionally, much more so than any humans.

BTW, I think he thinks the time you call "computer time" is actually "adore the kitty time"!
ReplyDeleteIt's clear Alex is a very special and cool cat...you are both so lucky to have one another!
ReplyDeleteSending every good and special wish your way Nick!
Alex is certainly a beautiful cat!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll find he loves you just as much.
ReplyDeleteHe is a sweetheart, but then so are you and they do say that animals reflect their owners.
Much love,
Lia xx

ReplyDeleteMagpie's Nest: Thank you. Yes, Alex is a very cool cat! I am so glad that he has come into my life.
ReplyDeleteAzsonofagun: Thank you, Rex.
ReplyDeleteLia: Thank you! Both Alex and I appreciate your words.
ReplyDeleteAnd why not? When he's so much more than a companion to you.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds as if i mean 'why can't you express it?' when actually I mean he deserves it!
ReplyDeleteEven though he tried to destroy your nose hose? Now that's unconditional love.
ReplyDeleteI love to see pictures of Alex. And this time we also get to see your arm!
ReplyDeleteYes, we can see that.
ReplyDeleteLove that strong is contagious. I can feel it all the way to Colorado.
ReplyDelete*Smiling*
I know he loves you too. He is a beautiful cat. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the love is reciprocated Nick. :)

ReplyDeleteAbby: I am glad you enjoyed the Alex photos. I suppose my arm was sort of a bonus. [;-)
ReplyDeleteJames Higham: He is an endearing little furball, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteCarol: I agree: love is contagious! Sometimes I dream of what this world would be like if every sentient being would simply share love with others.
ReplyDeleteEmerging From The Fire: Yes, Alex is a beautiful cat. Beautiful in many, many ways.
ReplyDeleteAkelamalu: Yes. Remembering that Alex is cat and therefore very self-centered, I, too, think that he reciprocates my love.
