I Was Tagged

Three things that scare me:
1. Self-righteous people

1. My #2 son, Rob

1. My family.
2. Alex, the cat who owns me
3. Books-all sorts of books of every genre

Three things I hate:
1. Lies
2. Injustice
3. Oppression

Three things I don't understand:
1. Higher (than algebra & geometry) mathematics
2. Capitalism
3. Cat language

Three things on my desk:
1. Piles of stuff I don't want to look at
2. My notebook computer
3. Books-lots of books

Three things I'm doing right now:
1. Filling in these lists of threes
2. Keeping an eye on Alex so he doesn't surprise me by clawing my leg
3. Smoking my second to last cigarette

Three things I want to do before I die:
1. Travel to places I have only dreamed of traveling to
2. Complete at least one of the books I have been writing for the past 30 years
3. Find a regular income

Three things I can do:
1. Write
2. Play guitar
3. Teach

Three things I'd like to learn:
1. A couple of languages that aren't "dead" (I already know how to read/translate at least a bit of Latin, Greek, Hebrew, & Arabic)
2. What Alex wants when he keeps clawing and hassling me
3. How to take care of myself

Three fav. foods:
1. Chocolate
2. Pizza
3. Fried onion rings

Three beverages I drink regularly:
1. Water
2. Wine
3. Coca-cola

Three TV shows/Books I watched/read as a kid:
1. Howard R. Garis' Uncle Wiggly books
2. The Western TV series, such as Wagon Train, Bonanza, & Have Gun, Will Travel
3. Saturday morning cartoons (Mighty Mouse was my fav)

  6. I am learning cat language. I have been training my cat to get off the kitchen counter. I used to call out, "Hissy, get down!" and wait expectantly for him to follow my command. Now, I say, "Hissy, get down...when you're ready."

    Good kitty.

  17. My cat can count to three. She knows if she doesn't move by the time I reach "three", she's in serious trouble.

    Or she thinks she is. I've never reached it yet.

    Victor was wonderful. I have a collection of old VCR tapes from his PBS appearances but I missed the Sesame Street appearance somehow.
