LawBrat Has a Request

LawBrat has a friend named Chris, who is going with eleven other Christians on a mission trip to Kenya, where they be teaching the children there bible verses, songs, and doing projects with them centering on Christ. LawBrat writes:

Anyone that donates any money or tangible items will be a tax deductible donation. No donations are for the benefit of the specific person. Any checks or money orders are made out to the church, and then mailed to Bruce, the Bruce will take it to the church and they will put his account number in the memo line of the check. Each of the 12 members are raising $3100 each. The Church is picking up a lot of the cost, but going to Africa, 12 people, it's a lot.

Each person has the same amount to raise. It's divided up equally. If a person does not reach what that person is supposed to reach, they don't go. I'm not sure how close he is to the goal, but he's fairly confidant that things will work out.

Do old Sometimes Saintly Nick a favor and click over to LawBrat's blog to learn more.

  1. Wow, what a project! I'll click to learn more from Lawbrat. I heart her.

I also heart Chris and the other 11 peeps going on this mission to Kenya.

  2. I'm flat broke, but if he and his posse want to clean my apartment, I'll kick $10 in!

  3. The support that Bloggers often show is quite amazing. It really is just nice...

  4. Hi Nick ~~ What an awful tragedy in Virginia and a senseless waste of young lives. Prayers for the victims and their familes. I am so glad you had a visit with Alex.
Thanks for your comment about the photo of my daughter Kathy and myself. Take care, Nick, Regards, Merle.

  5. I'll click on Lawbrat's blog.

So terrible about VT, I heard on the news that there is now a bomb threat on the VT campus. When will it end?

  6. It sounds like a great cause. Thanks Nick.

  7. Lil sis, I heart you too! Very much.
Rose, you know me and know how much you mean to me.

    Everyone else- Thank you!

Nick- I hope you know how much this means to me. You are such a good-hearted man, and will always have a special place in my heart.
