Just to Let You Know: The Lump on Alex’s Rump Is Gone

The lump on Alex’s rump was drained by Alex before we went to his veterinarian yesterday. He is OK and yesterday Alex posted more about his rump in a post entitled My Worry-Wart Human on his own blog.

I will be putting up another post on a different subject later today: I just want to let folks know that Alex is O.K. (The furball and I snuggled through the “cold”—Alex’s term—of last night and we didn’t get out of bed until late this morning).

  1. Glad to hear Alex is ok. So did you take him anyway to the vet or did you two both decide to avoid the trauma?

  2. So good to hear Alex is fine...the cold really makes it difficult for me to get out of bed too :)though i wonder if it's as cold in CA as it is in KY?

  3. Alex did go to the vet yesterday, where he had blood drawn (the vet wants to investigate the nature of the “lump”) and got a “just in case” shot. Alex tells the whole gruesome story on his blog.

  4. Alex had a rump lump? Poor kitty. I'm bad as you are. We're down $175 for an x-ray I had done on Lucy when I thought she ate a pencil. They could find the darn thing. And all that I could find was the chewed up tip of it. To this day I still don't know what happened to to it. Probably took the wrong dog in. Poor George is probably walking around with a pencil in his belly.

  8. Glad the little bird-eater is OK!

    Apropos of nothing:

"Rump". What a great word. You hardly ever hear that one nowadays. I think it's time for "rump" to make a comeback. I'll just say it all the time: rump, rump, rump!

    I feel much better now.
