Napping with the Cat

Patrick, the pleasant young man who purchased my house after the foreclosure and who is now my landlord, has been replacing the linoleum in the back hallway that passes by the master bedroom with a synthetic marble-like floor. Because the new floor could not be walked on until the adhesive dried, he graciously moved me, my C-PAP, and my oxygen compressor into the guest bedroom for last night. I’m now back into the master bedroom and the flooring looks marvelous. I’ll share pictures of the floor when the final cleaning has been completed.

This morning and afternoon Patrick was back in the house to do the grouting of the marble-like material. Because I take frequent naps during the day (and Alex generally joins me) I asked Patrick to look into the bedroom and, if possible, snap some photos of Alex and me catnapping that I certainly couldn’t take.

Below are the results. You’ll not seem much of me because I am under the comforter with the breathing mask (you can see the hose) on my face. You can, however, see the head of the furball. You’ll notice that Alex’s eyes are open. Cats awaken when their territory is invaded and Alex evidently noticed Patrick in the room. However, I suppose that since he was safely curled next to me, he only looked at Patrick and did not scamper away.
