Nick’s Bytes has had some problems with being read by folks. I’ve spent the morning attempting to solve those problems and have concluded:
· Part of the problem seems to be my using Microsoft Word as my post editor. I have created a new template style for posting and that seems to be solving the problem.
· Although I have received reports of folks using various browsers to access Nick’s Bytes, Internet explorer seems to be the primary culprit.
· I have had reports of folks using Firefox not being able to post comments. I believe that has also been solved.
Please! If you are experiencing any of the above problems—or any other problem—with Nick’s Bytes, please email me what you are experiencing so that I may address it. OK?

ReplyDeleteYou're showing up fine in Opera and Newsgator.
ReplyDeleteI use IE Nick and have never had any problems reading your blog.

ReplyDeleteNOTE: With Alex’s (questionable) help, I’ve spent most of the day upgrading everything I can on my operating system and browsers. It has been a long day, but I am really tied of all of these errors!
ReplyDeleteRegarding Blogger’s Blog List widget that caused all of the problems last month with Nick’s Bytes being inaccessible, Blogger is finally taking action:
Some users are experiencing problems with the Blog List widget. We are working hard on a fix, but in the meantime you can always remove the widget from the Layout | Page Elements tab.
chica40208 : I’m glad Firefox is working for you OK. I’ve not had any problems with it, but other have had problems posting comments to my blog.
ReplyDeleteThomas: I don’t have Navigator, but I do have Opera. No problems with Opera for me; thank you for letting me know that Navigator is working OK, too.
Akelamalu: Thanks. I had my doubts about IE just because I’ve had some problems using it.
Jody: Thank you for the information.
Aside from when blogger was being a pain in the rear end, I have not had a problem with posting a comment. Sorry that I have been absent.I have been busy with some "house keeping".Hugs and God's Blessing and Love to you my Friend! Mike G. said that!(It's an A.A.thing of mine)
ReplyDeleteMike Golch: Thank you for your input. I hope your housekeeping went well!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing fine reading your stuff. I just got Google reader going the other so I can, I hope, keep up better.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm mostly a Firefox user.
I've been reading your posts more so than commenting so I haven't noticed a problem. I'm using Mozilla-and if this comment goes through then I suppose there's no problems on my side.
ReplyDeleteNick, you are showing up on my Safari and my Firefox. No problem there either.
ReplyDeleteI think my computer needs to go to a nursing home. I really think that most of my problems with commenting have something to do with my computer. I still can't read my gmail in Firefox at home, but I can at work.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see if this comment goes through.
Hi Nick. I've always used IE and never had any problems either reading your posts or leaving comments.
ReplyDeleteI have had no problems with your blog since you had that nasty one with the blogger list a while back.
ReplyDeleteI had no problem. I suppose whatever there was had been repaired.
