Because My Philosophical Pondering Is Slow

I am working on a metaphysical post inspired by an email I received a few days ago. I thought I would have it ready for Nick's Bytes yesterday. It's not. Sooooooo, because I want to post something, below are some updates and stuff that I believe may interest (most) of you:

ME. Today  both the nurse who is teaching me to live with diabetes and the physical therapist came to my house. My basic signs were excellent and I am strengthening my legs and learning better ways of walking on the one that was injured by my tank, Backache, with the initial goal of being able to walk to the neat shops that are about a block from my house. In the past I would be fatigued by so much activity and have had to take a long nap. But today I'm NOT! I feel energized!

ALEX. The furball is back into his summer routine of catting around all night. Like any parent, it worries me when he's outside from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM!
I need some advice regarding Alex's flea and tick medicine: I have always had difficulty finding bare skin to apply the medicine. Now it seems impossible! Try as I may, I can't part the hair on his neck or back to find skin. Do any of you cat parents have any ideas?

IMAGES: You may remember that on May 22nd I posted about the images on Nick's Bytes that folks come to and download via Google image search. As I've paid more attention to those searches that lead people here, I have come to realize that there are a very popular images that folks are seeking. So, below (in order of popularity) are the images that have appeared in my Nick's Bytes posts that I find are being sought the most.

KATS. I can't create a post like this with out sharing a few KATZ. (I now have 2,457 KATZ that I've yet to share and the number grows each day).

  1. I'm glad that you are feeling energized by all of your therapy and such, Nick. I hope you get a lot out of the diabetes education and the P.T.

Fortunately, living in Colorado, I have no need to know how to deal with flea and tick medicine for pets. Good luck with that!

The last Katz is my favorite. :-)

  2. Good news about your physical improvement! Wonderful!

It has been a long time since I put that med on a cat, and I know this sounds lame, but it is what it is! Sorry.

  3. Hey that's good news about your mobility and energy, Nick. Keep up the good work.

As for the fleas, my problem is holding the cats still while I apply it, especially schizi Mitzi. Fortunately, being indoor cats, they really don't have a flea problem. Tell Alex to stop his catting around...he's old enough to know better...or is he???

  4. Wonder if the bus was on its way to, or from, "Ah Shit!"...Gave me a good laugh, either way!

  7. Wonderful about the improvement on your strength - keep up the good work!

As for Alex, with Buddy, I go in against the grain of the hair and just press down and apply the medicine. It seems to work. I figure I'm getting most of it on his skin, and he only hates me for a little while. :-)

I, too, LOVE LOVE LOVE the last picture. So cute!
