Nick's Wednesday Coffee House has finally returned! Now that I can again hear audio on my computer and select songs from my collection, I'm excited about again creating and posting the coffee house. The playbill today is exclusively African-American artists whose music has been blessings to my life. Without further ado, on with the show:
LOUIS ARMSTRONG
Mack the Knife
THEO MONK
Monk's Mood
MILES DAVIS
Move
PAUL ROBESON
The Peace Arch Concert
(Brief) Introduction to No More Auction Block
No More Auction Block
BILLIE HOLIDAY
Lover Come Back to Me
Baby Won't You Please Come Home
CARMAN McRAE
Coffee Time
NAT KING COLE
Ramblin' Rose
I plan to return to posting Nick's Coffee House at least every other Wednesday. If you are interested in visiting previous Coffee House posts, you may click on the label below that reads Wednesday Coffeehouse. Or, you may remain here as long as you wish listening to the music and enjoying a very cheap cup of coffee!
NOTE: Please excuse the formatting of this post. Due to quirks in Blogger embedding the songs, I had to redue all of the music sections. I'm in no mood to fight with Blogger over the formatting!
That's all for this coffee house, folks. I hope that you have enjoyed this music of this selection of American American artists. The sampling presented at this coffee house is just a small sampling from my collection of CDs and an even smaller sampling of the vinyl LPs I have of African American artists! (I so wish that I had a turntable so that I could again listen to vinyl).

So glad to see Monk in the mix. Over at my place I've posted a painting named after one of his tunes. It seems that only one person has caught that so far.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, my parents had an LP with Nat King Cole's Ramblin Rose. That takes me back, Nick.
I'm glad you've got your audio back.
I have heard of Billie Holiday but this is the first I have ever heard her sing. Thank you, Saintly Nick.
