Snuddle
The word that I created last week -- snuddle -- is now in the Urban Dictionary:
Adopt a Cat
Alex and I are very serious about Adopt a Cat Month. At this time of the year the shelters are overflowing with very young kittens who face a furure of being adopted or being "put down" -- Lord! You do not know how much a hate that phrase.
If ytou can't adopt a cat, would you considering contributing to a No KIll Animal Shelter? ou can find a No Kill shelter in you area at nokillnetwork.org.
CPAP
After all of these months of sleepless nights, I finally have my replacement CPAP machine:
BP Cartoons
The following politcal cartoons aren't meant to be funny. They are very serious. Much too serious.
You may want to read this article in the Atlanta Examiner online:
How to Help Turtles, Birds, and Fish

ReplyDeleteI know the political cartoons are suppose to be serious, but I had to lol at the sleeper cell one.
ReplyDeletehey, if you can't get a laugh out of it, the terrorists have won!
Good post, Nick.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you got the CPAP. Peaceful sleeping to you!
Re: the oil gusher...I'm sad for all life.
So now you can sleep more than a couple of hours at a time! I'm happy for you, Rev Saint.
ReplyDeleteThat last cartoon... I have actually thought about that possibility--or the possibility that the rig was sabotaged.
Mike: Thanks. I think the sleeper one presents a rather interesting idea.
ReplyDeleteSilverNeurotic: Yep! Me, too!
ReplyDeleteCarol: Thank you. THe CPAP worked better than I ever hoped. Excellent sleep: 7.5. hours straight through. I can't remember when I last awakened so refreshed.
ReplyDeleteThe Gulf situation is so horrendous! My heart goes out first to the creature affect; then to the people; and untilmately to future generations becuase this horror is going have affects for many years to come.
Azsonofagun: Thank you, Rex. Now all I need is the cool, dryness of the Arizona desert!
ReplyDeleteTh last cartoon: you always have been drawn to conspiracies! (Me, too).
I am happy to hear you finally have a working CPAP! Sorry about the oil; BP is not a very trustworthy corporation.
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that the company is no longer called British Petroleum after its merger with Amoco it became just BP.
ReplyDelete(Guess where I'm from!)
