I feel violated: Update

Last Thursday my neighbor across the hallway opened my door and stood in the open doorway talking. Sugar escaped and was gone until captured earlier today.  At  about 4:00 a.m. today, the same neighbor came into my apartment  and again left the door open. Sugar escaped again.

I feel violated.

Thankfully, I have not destroyed the remaining posters I previously made when Sugar was missing before.

One would think that people would think about the ramifications of their actions before repeating the same behavior.

UPDATE

My apartment-mate, Anne, captured Sugar a few minutes ago from outside our apartment. However, the silly little kitty still wants to go outside.

As you may have guessed, she's in heated and wants to screw.

Alex, who, like me, is fixed, has no idea what to do about the little kitty who keeps harassing him -- except, to ignore her or to bop her on her head with his paw and walk away.

  2. I think you need to start keeping the door locked, preferably with a chain lock (if you have one). Its not good to just let anyone come into your apartment unannounced...plus if someone was casing the neighborhood looking for possible targets and noticed your neighbor doing this-you'd be setting yourself (and Anne) up for trouble.

I also know that you and Anne are pressed for money-but getting Sugar "fixed" is probably a good idea. Maybe the local animal shelter will do it for free or at a greatly reduced rate. It'll cut back on her chances of escaping. At the very least, she'll leave Alex alone during that "special" time.
