Half Way There

This afternoon I sat before a computer taking Insurance Commission’s examination to be licensed as an agent to sell life insurance. It was difficult—very difficult. When I completed the examination, I called the man monitoring the test over to push the button that would grade my work and send the results to the state’s central computer.

As he stood beside me, I said, “That was hard. I only think that I knew 20% of the answers.”

He replied, “No, you have it backwards. You only missed 20% of the answers” and pointed to the beautiful blue words at the side of the screen: PASSED.

That’s half of it. Tomorrow I drive to the state capital in Frankfort to the take the examination to sell health insurance. If I pass that one, then I am a paid insurance agent next Monday.

I’m sure you have noted that yesterday I didn’t post my usual Monday jokes. I spent the day studying. I shall also spend tonight studying. Then, hopefully, I’ll be back to my normal blogging routine.
