It’s Going to Be Another Long, Stormy Night

Severe weather is again on us. As I write this the wind is howling and thunder rolling. Several lines of thunderstorms are approaching Louisville from the west, the direction from which all of our weather comes.

According to the weather forecasters—who have taken over the programming on four of our local TV stations—the first line should be on top on Louisville in about seven minutes. This one reportedly has 70 MPH winds and dime-sized hail. As usual with these types of storms, Louisville and most of the area around it are under a Tornado Watch, with a Tornado Warning already issued for counties in southern Indiana. Behind this first line are several more, reaching all the way to St. Louis, 200 miles west of here. I expect it to be a long night.

Alex is outside—unless he has slipped into the basement through his secret entrance. Dumb cat!
