Perhaps it is time for me to remove the “Unemployed Blogger” ribbon from my sidebar. Yesterday I received my first commission check. It came a week later than I was told it would and was in an amount that was less than half of what I had expected.
I divided the number of hours I have worked as an agent into the amount of the check and found that I earned about seventy-five cents an hour for the first three weeks.
Perhaps I leave the “Unemployed Blogger” ribbon up for a while longer.
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHey, the ribbon is also up for awareness of the cause. I think. Anyway, congrats on the job:)
ReplyDeleteHopefully it is just a small reflection of what is to come and not the example. Congratulations and good luck.
ReplyDeleteWell, your pay can only go up!
ReplyDeleteNick, there ARE insurance companies that pay salaries and have benefits. Look for one!
ReplyDeleteAzsonofagun is right! Listen to him, Nick!
ReplyDeletePUNKMOM: Thank you.
ReplyDeleteEL: Thank you. I shall always support the cause of unemployed bloggers.
KYLEE: I certainly hope you are right! Since writing the policy on which that commission is based, I have written 8 additional policies. Of course, only one has thus far made it passed the underwriters.
MICHELLE: Amen. That’s one of the fortunate advantages of starting at the bottom.
AZSONOFAGUN: I am, Rex. I am.
EX-LOUISVILLE GUY: I am, Jim. I am.
As an unemploued wannabe blogger, I vote that you keep the ribbon up!
ReplyDeleteHi Nick ~~ Thanks for your visit and glad you get a laugh sometimes with the jokes. Congrats on the job ~ you

I have a friend, retired insurance man
and he still send Christmas cards to
his ex customers. I think, like you he was a good and kind man and never
pushed where it wasn't needed.
