Blog Post Number 500

How does one celebrate a 500^th blog post? Or, does one?

This is the 500^th time I have written a blog post. It really isn’t a big deal; it’s just another post. However, a week or so ago, when I noticed that I was approaching the 500^th post to Nick’s Bytes, I began thinking that this could be something special. Thus, I considered creating links to the posts I think are my best or perhaps asking you to tell me what post you enjoyed most.

I ended up rejecting those ideas because (1) it would take me too long to re-read five hundred posts and create the links and (2) I don’t think you want to go back through my posts either. I also considered creating an e-book comprised entitled The Best of Nick’s Bytes. Again, time and the belief that few would be interested in reading it have caused me to reject that idea. However, that may be a future project that could be fun.

What I have decided to do is simply state that this is my 500^th blog post. I have enjoyed writing this blog; I cherish the friends I have made while blogging over the past sixteen or so months; I take pleasure in the blogs of others I have read; and I thank each of you who have visited my blog.
