Rest in Peace, Kurt

Like so many Americans, she was trying to construct a life that made sense from things she found in gift shops. ~ Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. (Slaughterhouse Five)

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward. ~ Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

  1. A man of many words...a moment of silence and a prayer for him. A true master of words will be missed.

    RIP!

  6. When I heard of Vonnegut's death, I decided to re-read Slaughterhouse 5. It's been years and the best way I can celebrate his life.

  9. Great photo of KV, Nick. And the quotes were the most succinct way to describe him and his writing.

We were well blessed with his presence and his continuing presence through his books :)

  11. Oh, Nick! As a lover and writer of fiction, you must know how I feel about this lovely genius of a man. He blessed the imagination of the world with his masterful words. His life was not easy -- and still he wrote. From where I sit (not currently writing fiction), that is powerful.

  12. He certainly had an impressive face. Kinda reminds me of Mark Twain.

  13. I love that quote by him. So beautiful.

Nick, if you would be willing to do me a favor, I'd appreciate it.

Could you send people from your site to mine? I really want to see my friend go on this mission trip, and time is ticking.

I'll email you more information than what is on my blog. I'm just not sure how much to disclose. I did add a link to the church for people to look at and see its real and not a scam.

    Love to you dear friend.

    Love,
    Dawn
