Thank You, Veterans Administration

For the past two weeks the VA has contracted with a home health care organization to have folks in to bring my house, uh, up to snuff. As you know—or perhaps have deduced—my housekeeping abilities are far from, uh, adequate. That’s why I hired Tiffany as a housekeeper, until she disappeared.

Of course, with my present financial situation, I can’t afford a housekeeper and, since the house got more than a little neglected during my three month exile, it was in worse shape than ever. Now it is again “up to snuff.” Actually it is in much better shape than it has been in years—and the VA is now providing someone three days a week to keep it there.

Thank you, Veterans Administration

  5. What a cosy looking lounge room, Nick. I'm so glad you're getting a bit of help. After the hiatus you had earlier in the year, you deserve something good coming your way.

  6. Nick, this is wonderful news! This will have a positive effect on your overall wellness!! It's so good to hear about this. Veterans do not get all that they have coming to them in so many instances. I'm so glad that you are being treated well.

  8. Good old VA! After all of the flack they’ve been getting over the Walter Reed fiasco, it’s delightful to know they can do something right. God bless ‘em!

  9. Hi Nick ~~ I am so glad that V.A. at
last are doing something for you. I
get well treated by our Dept. Veteran Affairs, as my late husband served overseas. Glad you liked the photos. I have nominated you for an award, but it is an easy one. Take care, glad you are to get some home care as well. Best Wishes, Merle.
