We Are Blogging (Almost)

Thanks Carol for letting folks know what has happened with us and the computer. And thanks to all who were concerned for our welfare.

I had to purchase a new computer, exactly like the old one. I picked it up this afternoon. The Geek Squad copied my old hard drive to the new computer. I thought that it would function jast as before.

No such luck! I have gigabytes of text files that I don't know what to do with. (Excure my grammer; I am in no mood to be correct). None of my programs are on the new computer. I have to figure out how to set this computer up and perhaps reload the programs and data that I can reload.

In the meantime Alex, who will not be reclining on this keyboard is challenging me. As soon as I opened the new notebook he tried to climb on it, I stopped him. At the moment the furball is reclining on my desk with his head resting on my left hand. Typing isn't easy!

I shall post more as I am able.

  1. Sorry to hear about your computer. It is amazing how much of our daily electronic needs are scattered about. Very hard to recover when you have an unexpected blip in operations.

  2. Welcome back! Sounds like work to get everything back to the way you want it. I hope that you know more than I do about those kinds of things.

I am sure glad it was the computer and NOT YOU. I have missed you. Do you think Alex did the other one in by laying on the keyboard. I am happy to say Sam Cat has not discovered my keyboard.
I wish my friend David was there as he could fix it right up and you would be off and just playing. Take care and good luck.
    Peace

  5. Just a quick note: I thanks each of you for your words.

Yes, Alex had a part in the demise of the computer. The insides were filled with cat hairs. More about that later: I have an extremely busy Sunday, not to mention 700 emails I've not read and some critical programs I need to figure out how to install on this new 'puter.
