Good Morning, World!
Alex found this neat flag widget that is now on Nick's Bytes' sidebar while he was visiting the blog of one of the hoomin beans who visits his blog. Since he didn't want to use it, I did. I wonder who from the United Arab Emirates has visited Nick's Bytes. [You may click on any image to enlarge it].
Yesterday the temperature was up to over 90 F. Alex had been outside for a long time, so I opened the door and found him sitting in the shade of our porch, watching the world. I invited him inside to the cool of the air conditioner. He didn't want to come in.
Yesterday I baked some corn bread. I ate it with tomato bisque soup. It was yummy! I still have some left for today. Double yummy!
This is the worst nose hose I have ever had. It curls! It curls around itself and create knots. It curls around furniture. It curls around my feet. It even curls around Alex. I replaced it yesterday with one that, so far, doesn't curl.
They're coming for you, Nick.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for 'em, James!

ReplyDeleteProof read, Lyn, proof read!!
ReplyDeleteI go through periods of having multiple visitors from select areas. For a few days it will be India, then Argentina, next South Africa, etc. It is interesting to watch the search words that bring them to my site.
That's a very colorful sunrise. Thanks for this fun post, Saintly Nick.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunrise, and if you don't watch I'm gonna reach thru this computer and swipe some of that corn bread!
ReplyDeleteThat corn bread looks really yummy. Will you share your recipe or is it top secret?
ReplyDeleteLynilu: Proof read? That's what I do just as I click the post button and realize I had a boo-boo!
ReplyDeleteI have only had this flag thing running for a couple of days, so the data is rather skewed. I should have a feast of data after the TBIM post! I have replaced the visitor counter than I had that the most data on it regarding visitors because the website that provided it suddenly disappeared. This new counter does nothing more than count. One thing I noticed when the old counter was working was that quite a few hits came from folks who had found graphics I had used on Nick's Bytes via some search engine. I suspect that that is still true!
Andrea: Thank you. I have been, uh, collecting neat sunrise graphics to use on Facebook. I, too, like that one.
ReplyDeleteMike Golch: Thank you. I really wish that I could share the cornbread with you. It is yummy!
ReplyDeletesilverneurotic: Sure, I'll share the cornbread receipe! It's Martha White's Cornbread Mix (made with milk, not water) plus a touch of honey. Before I found I was diabetic, I used make the cornbread with much more than "a touch" of honey! Back then it was a couple of big squirts from the honey bottle!
ReplyDeleteI'm a journalist on a newspaper in Abu Dhabi and your site came up on my Google alert for sites containing the words "United Arab Emirates", so chances are you'll have a few hits from the UAE this week. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: Thanks for dropping by and letting me know. I just checked the stats and the visitor count for the UAE has already jumped from 2 to 6 in the past few hours.
