Good News!

Due to being promoted to a full-time, supervisory position at Osami's "other" job, last Friday he began working as my caregiver from 7:00 to 10:00 PM Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday rather than 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM the same days.

Last night he came in my door with a huge smile on his face. He announced that he had gotten word that his wife and son will be able to come to the United States from Cuba within the next 12 months, perhaps even sooner. They are still on the list for a visa, which may take up to 12 months; however, they are number 2 on a second list to receive a visa if anyone cancels their request to immigrate to the United States. That's the good news!

I also celebrate this very good news:
In case you missed it, I have posted on my photo blog, Nick's Pics, all of the photos that I have of the delightful March 14th wedding of my son, Rob, and KIm.

 Rob and Kim
Although Alex was disappointed that our "warm" weather disappeared for a few days, he was happy to remain in the house to harass me and for us to play with his birdie-on-a-string.

Just for fun (and because he speaks for me and millions of Americans) ....

  3. I'm so happy for Osami and his family! He has worked hard for this.

Thanks for sharing the sweet wedding photos. My best wishes to the newlyweds. I know that you really enjoyed the wedding and I have heard the pride and love you have for your sons.

And lastly... Allan Sherman... now THAT'S a voice from the past. I didn't remember this little ditty of his. My best memory of him, is, of course the song, "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah". I STILL sing that every once in awhile.
