Many of you are acquainted with my temporary apartment-mate, Anne Owen. She was in the process of moving into a house to be shared with her sister, Tina, when it caught fire and she and Tina lost the majority of their processions. November 9th—one week from today—is Anne’s birthday. Considering all of the negative things that have happened to her recently, I would like to make this a special day for her. Anne is disabled, as am I, and has a very small Social Security Disability check. Replacing her possessions lost in the fire is and will be impossible for her.
Anne’s greatest joy is writing, playing, and singing music. Tragically, her guitar burned in the fire.
As a birthday surprise, I would like to replace Anne’s guitar; however, the cost of replacing one of the same quality as the one that burned is $500 - $600—much more than I can afford.
However, if all of us on Facebook contributed what we can afford, I believe that Anne can again have a guitar, prayfully by her birthday a week from today.
