I willie wantz a burfday party!

Wow! Look at my hair!

Perhaps I am being childish, but I really want a birthday party this year—with a cake and ice cream and candles and presents to open and real human beings around me. I can’t remember when I had my last party. I do remember the parties of my childhood: I sometimes had more than one each year. There was a party at my Uncle Frankie Joe and Aunt Abba’s house and another at my Uncle Otto and Aunt Lill’s house and sometimes a party at my own home. Could it be that I used up all of my birthday parties back when I had multiple parties each year and now have none left?

The Emerald Isle

For about the last fifty or so years, I have dreamed of visiting Ireland. I now realize that, due to my age and health, I shall never bring my dream into fruition. Therefore, I content myself with the books, music, films and photographs of the Emerald Isle. Here are a very few:

Below are a few of the books, music, and films I own that take me vicariously to Ireland. I highly recommend each of these.
