Thanks to each one of you who have given me feedback on the best Alex photo to enter in the Pets Picture Contest. (I just noticed as I was typing this that if one reverses the “t” and “s” in “pets” it spells “pest.” I think that can sometimes be quite appropriate, especially where Alex is concerned). If you’ve yet to give me your opinion of the best photograph of Alex to submit to the contest, please go to my Thursday’s blog post (click here) and vote. I have until at least Sunday evening to make a choice and email my entry.
Over the past couple of days I have been doing research and writing a blog post on “the persecution of cats throughout history.” I hoped to have it completed at least by this morning; however, I have been ill for the past day or so and manage to be up and about only a small bit of time before becoming exhausted. This is no good when one lives alone, except for one’s cat. At the moment I am attempting to acquire enough energy to leave the house, drive to the grocery, and purchase a re-supply of Alex’s favorite cat food. If I don’t, he will literally jump on me to show his displeasure.
I pray that I shall be energized soon and back to as normal as normal now is for me.
I hope you feel better soon, Nick. Living alone or even with a loving pet can be horrible when you're ill.
ReplyDeleteNick, I hope you feel up to par again soon. It's a worry being on your own when you're not well...do you have some sort of portable emergency alarm you can put by your bed? Maybe your Veterans' Association may have something like that.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, Nick.
Hope you are on your feet soon, Rev. Saint! My prayers are with you (and Alex, too).
ReplyDeleteget well soon ok?
ReplyDeleteI don't think you'll have to go far back in time to find persecution. Didn't John Aschcroft have a thing about calico cats?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better soon!
So sorry you're not well. Hope you're better soon.
