The Passing of a Spiritual Leader

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who introduced Transcendental Meditation to the West and was the spiritual guru of The Beatles, died in the Netherlands today at the age of about 91.

He influenced many as he walked the path of peace.

I Am Avoiding Everything To Do with Super Tuesday

Here in Kentucky our primary election is in May!

The Muffin Saga

The next part of The Muffin Saga is almost written. I will have it up tomorrow afternoon or evening, after I return from an appointment regarding my leg at the VA Hospital.

What’s with Mozilla Firefox?

Firefox has been my primary browser for quite a while and I’ve never had a problem with it—until a few days ago. Now it locks up/crashes on a regular basis. I have no idea what’s wrong with it unless some add-on is malfunctioning. Any ideas?

Nose-Hose Fun

I realize the video below is poor; however, getting the furball to misbehave on camera isn’t easy. Of course, as soon as I put the camera down, he was back to attacking my nose-hose. (Somehow I must find a way to prevent my Darth Vader breathing from being part of the audio).

Hose Repair

I was having problems with my nose-hose that, believe it or not, had nothing to do with Alex. The two 25-foot hose linked plastic tube lines that ran from my nose to my oxygen generator started constant curling and crimping, thus reducing the amount of oxygen I was breathing. After spending the weekend straightening the tubing and removing the crimps only to have it curl and crimp again, I telephone the oxygen providers Monday morning.

They came to my house this morning and replaced the two 25 foot lengths with one 50 foot hose. Thus far it’s working well.

Achmed the Dead Terrorist

Give yourself a belly-laugh favor and click over to Bryan’s Little Corner and watch the video of Jeff Dunham’s Achmed the Dead Terrorist routine.

  1. Maharishi contributed much to the world and his teachings will live on.

As to nose hoses, I think you need one of those things like they use to wind up garden hoses. Or else they should make nose hoses like retractable electrical cords.

    Maybe not.

Looking forward to more Muffin stories. I hope your leg is okay.

  3. I thought that May 20 super late but then I found out the last state to in July. I don't get it. I just want this all over with.

You are looking at the furball and the camera all wrong. Maybe it is a good thing you can not get him misbehaving on camera. Just carry the camera around and he will leave the nose hose alone. See what I mean, problem solved. I hope the new hose works out for you.

Looking forward to more about Muffin.

I am afraid I only know the name, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, more than anything about him. He sounds like a great man. One thing I did notice that I found interesting. He said his job was done and less than a month later he was dead. I saw something similar. I really enjoyed Charles Schultz the creator of the comic strip Peanuts. (no I am not trying to compare him to Maharishi) His last strip before retirement was to be published on February 13, he died on February 12.

I use Firefox at home and (knock on wood) so far I have not been having problems. The one time I was having lots of problems I ended up reinstalling the latest version again. If it gets really bad maybe you might need to do something similar. Good luck.

  4. Politics has become very distateful to me. I'm avoiding election coverage as much as I can. I'm sure when it's over someone will tell me who won.

I was sorry to hear of the Maharishi's passing. I believe he really made an effort to make the world a kinder, more peaceful place.

  7. Here in Alabama, it was our first time to have an early primary. Used to be, the candidates were already decided by the time we got around to our June primary. It was very thrilling to see people lined up to cast their votes yesterday.

  8. I don't like the predictions and projections. When they declare a winner with 20% of the votes in, I think it discourages people from voting.

  9. The video is so good! He looks like he would misbehave in a heartbeat!;o)
    .
Our morning news is coming live from Washington DC at the moment so we too are getting 'Political overdose' :o) I like watching the footage and seeing Chuck Norris appear from nowhere grinning like a cheshire cat!

  10. Firefox has been crashing on me quite a lot, as well. It's become a more common complaint with Firefox users lately.

It could very likely be an unstable add-on, that's not uncommon. Make sure all of your add-ons are compatible, and check the feedback on them to see if there are complaints that they're unstable.

I did a google search for "Firefox crash" and "Firefox Crashing", and a lot of the hits had some great suggestions. So there could be the perfect fix for you out there. :D

  13. I kinda like the Darth Vadar sound effects.

    "Alex...(breathe, breathe)...I am your father...(breathe, breathe)...leave the hose alone...(breathe, breathe)...or I'll poke you with my light saber...(breathe, breathe, breathe)...

    See! Totally works!
