Recently Alex the Furball has decided that pulling towels off their hangers or my jacket off the back of a chair and using them to create catnapping nests is no longer fitting for a feline of his prominence. Therefore his new catnapping nest has been the keyboard of my notebook.
It isn’t that he hasn’t done this before, but he has never been as persistent at it as he has the past week or so. In the few minutes that it has taken for me to type these few sentences, the furball has leaped upon my desk and pranced across the keyboard and made all sorts of weird editorial changes to this post three times.
At the moment I have convinced him to nap on my desk to the left of the computer so that only his tail is on the notebook’s` keyboard as I type on my remote keyboard. Of course, if he decides to back up, there is no telling what commands he will issue the computer. (He has already opened programs that I didn’t know I had, made changes in the “normal” setting of MS Word, somehow learned to turn the computer on after I have turned it off, etc.).
I have told Mr. Alex that he may use to computer to write his blog, but not as a catnapping nest. His response is to stare at me and meow, But ain’t I cute?
lol thats funny
ReplyDeleteHow funny!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think that a keyboard would be comfy at all.
cats can sleep in some strange places.we have just adopted a little grey kitten.
ReplyDeleteOh come on.. that's REAL cute.
ReplyDeleteOooh, how can you say not cute at all - he's totally gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation, Jess does exactly the same to me and yes, I do get rather frustrated!!
Best wishes, Crystal xx
What a cutie!!! He is king of the keyboard and that is that. Peace

ReplyDeleteNow you have to admit he is cute. I may have a solution. I am not sure if I am going to fix my computer or just get a new one. Maybe I can give you that one and he can sleep on it.
ReplyDeleteBut the keyboard is so warm and comfy! I like to walk on the keyboard someti809avpi;/nnitkap-9veikja[w=ov'lm maef; ,jaupvoema'me a;lvpnwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with cats and computers? My cat loves to sleep on it because it generates heat and he's 19-his bones get cold. So I bought him a heating pad. But right now as I sit at my laptop, he is curled up , resting his head on the dashboard. At least he stays off the keys now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for mentioning autism. I was believed to be autistic as a child. I still wonder if I was misdiagnosed. I have a friend who specializes in teaching autistic children. He is a candidate for sainthood. But they are great kids, once you get past the boundaries.
Hi there, just dropping by to say Hello,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from the Big Bang Master List.
Have a nice day.
Aaawwww, how cute ... he must like the warmth that the computer generates ... can't blame him for that !!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well, Nick.
Take care, Meow
Message from Brooksie's cats: When will you humans ever learn? We only like to sleep in places where you also want to sit, on things you are reading or using, and especially on things that are warm! A computer's keyboard is all three of these, so it is the 'trifecta' as far as we cats are concerned for where to park ourselves.
ReplyDeleteOK we will let Brooksie have his keyboard back now. Good day to you, Nick, and a special 'yo wassup?' to Alex.
Oh but he is cute! You wouldn't think it would be comfortable, would you? It's only because he loves you so much that he puts up with it!
ReplyDeleteThat's the answer! Alex nests on the keyboard because it is warm!
ReplyDeleteThanks, folks.
I love Alex
ReplyDeleteNick,I think you might like the stuff I sent you on an email.furball reminded me of one.Mike
