Here’s a bit of an update on my yesterday’s post about my natty leg:
- My leg is no better than it was.
- My friend, the Rev. Doug Fowler, did the grocery shopping I needed last night and moved my car from the VA parking lot to the church parking lot.
- I’ve not yet made transportation arrangements for my Monday or Tuesday’s medical appointments.
I just hope that things inprove for you soon.
ReplyDeleteYeah. What Mike Golch said. I second it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you this winter Sunday.
If only Alex could drive...
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about this. Can you arrange for a taxi to pick you up?
I'm sorry your new year is off to such a rocky start. I hope things improve for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI've not been around for a few days Nick so am just catching up. I'm so sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with your leg m'dear. I'm sending Reiki right now to help. Hope whatever it is clears up very, very soon. xx
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to visit and find you ill!! As I say a prayer for you and your leg one good thing to note...PBS is showing the second half of Wuthering Heights tonight and it's pretty good!! Get comfortable and watch!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your leg isn't better - hope it heals soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on your award from Mimi! ;-)
I'm glad that you have groceries and that your car is safe and won't be towed. It would be nice if your leg could be made better just as easily. Good luck on getting to your appointments. I'll be thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, Nick. You're appointments will be sorted out too. God just had to organise the groceries and getting your car back first.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, Nick.
ReplyDeletePamela's right - the Wuthering Heights IS pretty good - definitely worth watching.
Kat
Oh Nick, I'm so sorry that your leg isn't improving much. I know that it's hard, but try to stay off of it and rest. Try to convince Alex that snuggling in bed is better than looking out the front or back door!
ReplyDeleteTake care, you are in my prayers,
~Susan
I am so sorry that you have injured your leg. I hope you are better today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update I have been thinking about you Nick. Praying that you'll get more comfortable real soon. Hope that you got as many laughs out of all the funnies you posted as I did. :)
ReplyDeleteBrightest of Blessings to you!
Mike Golch: Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCarol: Thank you. The winter Sunday was OK, but a major storm is supposed to hit us tonight and I am very tired of winter.
Enemy of the Republic :Thank you.
Hmmmmmmmmm… If Alex could drive—and had thumbs—he would need me and Artemis wouldn’t need you!
A taxi was my last resort because I can’t afford the fare. However, I solved the problem by rescheduling both appoints to March.
Thomas: Thank you. I’m feeling much better without those appointments hanging over my head. Both were for recertification of services I already have from VA, so I am OK with VA agreeing to reschedule.
Akelamalu : Thank you for the Reiki. My leg is feeling some better; of course, I’ve not attempted to drive since Friday.
ReplyDeletePamela Terry & Edward: Thank you. I thought that l would give it a try, even though I fell asleep during the first half of Wuthering Heights. That wasn’t because of the program; it was because I fall asleep a lot these days. I was asleep before the second half of Wuthering Heights came on.
Mauigirl: Thank you. Yes, I feel very pleased and honored to receive Mimi’s award!
Squirl : Thank you. Doug has come through for me many, many times since I have known him. He’s a great guy!
Puss-in-Boots : Thank you. You were so right! The appointments are all sorted out and I feel a big weight off of me.
ReplyDeletePoetikat : Thank you. I suppose I’ll have to catch Wuthering Heights the next time it comes around.
Auburn haired artist : Thank you. I know that you are right: I should stay off my leg as much as possible. The unfortunate thing is that living alone doesn’t allow me to stay off my legs much! However, Alex is making himself available for lots of cuddles.
China Girl : Thank you. I realize that healing will come. It just isn’t coming as fast as I would like it to come.
Patty Szymkowicz : You are welcome. I greatly appreciate your prayers and blessings. Yes, I do get lots of laughs out of those funnies: I laugh when I receive them in my email, when I put them in the blog post, and again when I read the blog post!
ReplyDeleteI am sure everything will work out OK, Reverend Nick. You are one of God's very special people.
