Tagged? Me?

I was tagged for this by ~*SilverNeurotic*~ & since (1) Blogger is again not allowing me to post comments and (2) my blog posts since Monday’s jokes have been on the overly serious side, I may as well have fun with it.

A -Available/Single? Single—sometimes liking it, sometimes not liking it.

B - Best Friend? Until a few days ago, the Rev. Dr. Bob. However, he seems to have gone off the deep end with his detestation of the U.S. military. I do not agree with the Bush administration’s military adventurism and bullying of other nations, but as a former U.S. army officer, I do not blame our soldiers.

C - Cake or Pie? Pie...especially chocolate.

D - Drink Of Choice? A good Cabernet Sauvignon

E - Essential Item You Use Everyday? Computer

F - Favorite Color? Green

G - Gummy Bears or Worms? Neither, both are yucky!

H - Home or Homesick? Home

I - Indulgence? 4,000 books and Alex, the cat who owns me

J - January or February? February: I was born on Saint Valentine’s Day

K - Kids & Their Names? Nicholas Lawrence III & Robert Lawrence II, both born on June 12th, 4 years apart.

L - Life Is Incomplete Without? Music

M - Marriage date? Hell if I can remember & I was married for 30 year. It is something I have chosen to forget! (Yeah, I really do remember: March 21, 1970)

N - Number of Siblings? 1 pain-in-the-ass little sister (if at 56 she can still be considered “little’—hell, she’ll always be younger than me, won’t she?)

O - Oranges or Apples? Apples, just like in the Garden of Eden

P - Phobias/Fears? If I were begin to list them I’d probably go into a paranoid trance.

Q - Favorite Quote? Many. Here’s one: “Tell the angel who will watch over your future destiny, Morrel, to pray sometimes for a man, who like Satan thought himself for an instant equal to God, but who now acknowledges with Christian humility that God alone possesses supreme power and infinite wisdom.” ~ Alexandre Dumas (1802 – 1870) in the final chapter of Le Comte de Monte-Cristo.

R - Reason to Smile? Cat antics of Alex.

S - Season? Spring

T - Tag 3 or 4 people? Anyone who wants to do this one

U - Unknown Fact About Me? My hero (and sometimes alter ego) is Leslie Charteris’ character Simon Templar, a.k.a. “The Saint”

V - Vegetable you don’t like? Peas (yuck)

W - Worst Habit? Passivity with manipulating women.

X - X-rays You’ve Had? Leg, chest, shoulder

Y - Your Favorite Food? Pizza Hut Sausage & Mushroom Thin Crust Pizza.

Z - Zodiac Sign? Aquarius (what else could I be?)

  1. Wow! So you alter ego is THAT Saint.

  2. Cabernet Sauvignon... mmmm!

How cool about your kids having the SAME Bday!

    Fun lil meme, Valentine baby.

  3. Always nice to get to know you better :)

  4. i like the way u refer to Alex as the cat who owns me :)..i guess that is true of cats isn't it? treat them nice and they think ur their slave :d

  5. I knew some of that from reading your blog for so long. Why do you think Gummy Bears and Worms are yucky?

  6. That quote from the Count of Monet Crsito is very interesting. I sae the movie, but never read the book. Perhaps I will read it.

  7. I always have a hard time answering the "favorite color" question.

Favorite color for what? It varies: for cats, black; for flowers, white; for cars, blue; for clothes, tie dye…

  8. Passivity with manipulating women? I always thought that it was women who were passive toward manipulating men.

  9. ...oooh...on the heels of anon... wonder if it doesn't just go both ways?

agree on the worms (non gummy type) but bears are cute and chewy! go on...give'em another try oh Saintly One.

very cool about your kids on the same day.

    peas ARE evil.
